Diet
Morning: Scrambled up three eggs with half a tomato and half a red bell pepper. Two fried slices of spam.
Before work, I tried a new drink at a coffee shop nearby called a "Samoa Mocha." It was supposed to taste like the girl scout cookie, but (perhaps not more surgross though, so just had a few sips.
Small cup of "salt and pepper popcorn" later in the morning.
---
Midday: Chipotle bowl with white rice, pepper, onion, steak, tomato, cheese, guacamole. It's good, but a LOT... next time, I'll ask for half rice, half steak. See how that feels.
In the afternoon, I ate an apple with almond butter and drank a bottled mocha frappuccino.
---
Evening: HOLY CRAP. I just ate the best dinner I've ever had. A secret family recipe, passed down through the generations. (Or rather, something my grandmother just told me to try.) I had two pork chops, some white rice with soy sauce, and a pretty big salad with lettuce, peas, carrots, and balsamic dressing.
The difference tonight was how I cooked the pork chops. Usually I just put some salt and pepper and olive oil on them. This time, I prepared the chops yesterday and let them marinate for a day. Coated each side with soy sauce, cinnamon, sugar, salt, and garlic powder. Tonight, baked them in the oven at 425 for about 15 minutes.
So. Fucking. Good. Next time, I think I'll try it for more like 12 minutes. The chops were pretty thing.
I know I'm harping on this, but this feels like a big deal. I had cooked just at the bare minimum, to save money. And there's nothing wrong with that - I like cooking, and my food was fine. But this... I would have eaten it over going out for anything. And I don't know that I've really felt that way yet, where eating in wasn't a sacrifice in taste.
Sorry to wax poetic about something as small as pork chops.
Well. No. Not really sorry, now that I think about it. :)

Small hot chocolate with skim milk later in the evening.

Exercise
Walked for about a mile today over lunch, but forgot to track exact distance or time.
I also decided to try something else: push-ups! I couldn't do a single regular push-up, but did about 9 knee push-ups before crapping out. I at least have a baseline going forward.
Learn an important lesson about push-ups too: I should do them in a room with a closed door and my cat on the other side. I did these in the same room as my cat, Pigeon, and he walked right under my face and stared at me. I couldn't stop laughing and it was really hard to do push-ups. :D Frigging cat.
