"Face the full wrath of the Magus!"

-The FFIV references throughout here delight me. The music, the armored fiend models, the Magus Sisters and their Delta Attack (that even used reflect!!)... just lovely.
-Also lovely is that it's used in service of FFXIV's lore, not the other way around. This is a change from the Omega raids. I still enjoyed those, but those felt shoehorned in rather than thriving naturally within the XIV environment.
-I wonder what other FFIV references will pop up through the expansion.
Five minor predictions:
1) The Evil Mask enemy model that never returned after FFIV but was still one of the creepiest designs in the series
2) The four elemental fiends
3) Zemus/Zeromus, perhaps built into Zodiark's lore and design
4) Golbez
-I'm less certain whether the protagonists of FFIV will be incorporated. Like, I kind of doubt we'll see Edge, Rydia, etc. Maybe some kind of Easter egg in the role quests.
-Go G'raha! Quick thinking on the levitation spell as he noticed the tower crumbling.
-WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT Y'SHTOLA SENSING "A MAN'S LIMB" IN THE CORE OF THE TOWER???? WTFFFF????? Her eyes in that scene got bigger and more shocked than I've literally ever seen from her, so I feel like she may guess at something.
