In some ways, I saw this coming. Everything about taking Ingram and how optimistic everyone in Rubrum felt showed there's no way that was the end of the game. Especially since I personally had no part in the capitol's sack directly.
But I just expected the twist to be Dr. Al-Rashia going "mwa-ha-ha, time to take power and become Queen of Orience with Class Zero as my personal army!" I did not expect an apocalypse (despite the Tempus Finis foreshadowing) led by an invading army of some new group called the Rursus.
