-“The
planet was to be his to rule, and to become a part of that system would
be nothing short of defeat.” I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess this
is Sephiroth.
-It’s actually kind of sad to read how much he wants to stay apart from the Lifestream. Wouldn’t there be peace at last there?
-So we get parallel stories. Lifestream Black is Sephiroth, White is Aeris.
-She wants to stay apart from the Lifestream too, but only temporarily and to protect, not to rule.
-“As long as Cloud remembers me, I can continue to exist.” It’s like Sephiroth made Cloud into a horcrux.
-Aeris is basically going “Avengers Assemble!” in the lifestream like in the first story I read.
-This
seems to lead into the villains of Advent Children, assembled by
Sephiroth in the Lifestream. That’s some serious juice Sephiroth is
showing beyond the grave.

Well, that’s it! These
were some cool tie-ins between FFVII and “Advent Children,” setting up a
lot of what came after. I like the character-building and seeing more
perspective about these characters. Some of the writing was a bit… off
(basic spelling errors and awkward phrasing), but that’s more on the
translation. This last story was the first one that felt truly
polished.
